Overview
The Next Steps Director provides leadership and vision for building a culture of hospitality and connection at Victory City Church. This role is responsible for creating systems, empowering teams, and cultivating an environment where every person feels welcomed, valued, and motivated to take their next step toward Jesus. The Next Steps Director collaborates with staff and volunteers, fostering a sense of community and teamwork, to ensure excellent guest experiences and sustained engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Experience & Hospitality:
Lead pre-service team rallies, fostering an atmosphere of faith, unity, and excellence.
Oversee the following Sunday teams:
Baptism
Connections Team (guest follow-up)
First Impressions (Parking Lot)
Next Steps (Lobby & Connect Corner)
Translation Team
Ushers
Victory City Track (VC Track)
Ensure all teams are scheduled, trained, and aligned with church culture.
Conduct pre-service walk-throughs for the VC Classroom, Lobby, and Auditorium.
Volunteer Development
Recruit, equip, and care for team leads and Dream Team members.
Maintain regular communication and team-building rhythms.
Implement leadership pipelines and Dream Team recognition initiatives.
VC Track Oversight
Direct and refine VC Track systems from registration through graduation.
Facilitate class content and manage weekly setup, supplies, and logistics.
Track assimilation and retention metrics, leading the follow-up process.
Follow-Up & Assimilation
Oversee guest follow-up from first visit through Dream Team involvement.
Lead the Connections Team in executing call, text, and email touchpoints.
Manage workflows within Planning Center and other communication tools.
Budget & Inventory Management
Manage budgets for all areas of responsibility.
Ensure all materials are stocked, organized, and ready each week.
Leadership & Strategy
Collaborate with staff to align Guest Experience with the church’s vision.
Identify growth areas and optimize systems for greater effectiveness.
Coach team leaders and build a sustainable structure for future growth.
Coordinate and execute strategy for all Guest Experience volunteer teams.
Work Environment, Schedule, & Physical Requirements
Requires regular Sunday responsibilities and occasional evenings for events, classes, or conferences.
Based onsite at Victory City Church with regular weekday office hours in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests, volunteers, and staff.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and navigate multiple indoor and outdoor environments during services and events.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary Range: $62,286 – $83,783
